Several years ago I learned Simon Kenton's nephew married into our line. Later, my granddaughter had to do a family tree, so we studied Simon Kenton. Read the Frontiersman. Really enjoy learning more about him all the time.

My mother told us of our Great, Great, Great Grandfather Simon Kenton years ago and how he had saved Daniel Boones' life.

Congratulations on the completion of the new Kenton Kin Association website! I am the 4th Great Grandaughter of Simon Kenton through his second wife, Elizabeth Jarbo. Our family had the thrill of visiting Simon Kenton territory in 2002 and followed the Simon Kenton trail. My son, Sasha, was 11 at the time. While we were on the road travelling through Kentucky, Virginia, Ohio, we read the Jr. High Version of Simon Kenton, Kentucky Scout. I have many wonderful pictures of markers and historical sites along the way...even a "Trail Tree". I would be happy to send some pictures for the website. Unfortunately, we have not had an opportunity to attend the Simon Kenton Festival or to meet other Kin yet but it is in our plans. My best to you all and thank you for all your efforts!

i had the pleasure to read the Frontiersman and loved the book .it shows history not always taught in school. i grew up in Lexington Kentucky and Kenton's name was everywhere. i was thrilled to connect the place i grew up with to a terrific American story. and i even got to know some of the Kenton Kin!
